Our Founder
Hello, my name is Katrya, also known as Kate, I would like to welcome you The Villa Dermal Therapies. The Villa has been a long-term dream of mine, and after two long years of building, planning, and preparing, I can finally welcome you to my space. Our building was purpose built with my clients in mind; I wanted to create a beautiful private and relaxing environment, with amazing products and treatments.
I am so excited that this dream is now a reality, I cannot wait to meet you.
Background & Qualifications
I studied a diploma of Beauty Therapy in Newcastle when I was just 17 years old, I qualified as a CIDESCO international therapist and went onto open my very first beauty business at age 18. I opened my second business at 20 and had my daughter at 22.
During the next few years, I was super busy, working and did a little travel time in the Middle East. When returning to Australia, I moved to the sunny Gold Coast to have my son and take a little break from business. I spent a few years ticking off quite a few bucket list items… lots more travel, went to Uni, study lots and renovated houses.
I emerged from my working break with a “Diploma of Health Care” in nursing and did some time working at Pindara Private hospital which I absolutely loved. I then did a little studying in interior design for personal interest before I started a “Bachelor of Nutritional Medicine”. I didn’t finish my degree, but I did complete an undergraduate in “Building Health Through Nutrition” which has given me a great knowledge basis on holistic health care.
Finally, the call for skin and beauty called me back to completing a postgraduate “Diploma in Dermal Therapies”, it is here, that I really focused on skin health and found my passion again.
I have also been lucky enough to attend oncology aesthetic training with Morag Currin which allows me to treat patients who are undergoing or have previously undergone cancer treatment.
Combing all aspects of my study, I feel that I can give my clients a holistic view on skin health and provide a well-researched and proven modalities to help improve and alleviate many skin concerns.

Every Facial Treatment
All of our skin treatments come with a complimentary 30 minute, detailed skin consultation. After analysis, you will enjoy a customised treatment which may include the face, neck and decolletage in our private and comfortable treatment rooms. Stand-alone consultations are available for $50 per booking, redeemable on treatments within 1 month of the initial consultation.
